Getting whales back on track

In a series of two articles, The Hindu explores why episodes of mass stranding of whales across the world are becoming common and what combination of environmental factors caused the beaching of whales in Tuticorin district in Tamilnadu in January 2016.

BBC News also explored why sperm whales washed ashore similarly in England, Netherlands and Germany around the same time.
